Embossing
Add a Touch of Class to Your Marketing Materials
Embossing can create some very attractive effects: subtle, bold, refined or expressive. One thing is for certain however: it will have an instant and positive impact on your viewers.
This process uses specially-made dies that, when applied with heat, press into paper to form a raised three-dimensional impression. You can actually feel it.
Embossing works well for:
- Business cards
- Letterheads & Envelopes
- Brochures
- Invitations
- Certificates
- Presentation & Sales Folders
- Post Cards/Rack Cards
- Greeting Cards
Images, borders, logos, names and even text can be embossed. Heavier paper stock and a detailed die will highlight the effect even more. Embossing works well on its own or together with 4-color digital printing or colored foil stamping.
Debossing is the opposite of embossing. This process depresses the surface of the paper to a desired depth instead of raising it. You can even combine both processes together for a unique multi-level effect.
PDQ has a wide range of paper stocks to choose from. Let us know if there’s a specific type of paper you’re interested in using. We’re happy to discuss your project with you and provide you with a free quote.

“The team at PDQ is extremely warm and friendly. I was greeted immediately upon arrival and my order was ready to go. The whole team is incredible. I highly recommend them. A far cry from other “big box” printing companies that are sterile and cold. It’s about time exceptional service became important again.”
